Reyes began singing and playing the piano when she was ten years old. She was born in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey, Nuevo León.  Two years later, she started posting videos on YouTube of herself singing cover songs. Many people were interested in her videos, including Latin American musician Prince Royce, who signed Reyes at the age of 12 to his then-newly established record company D’León Records. Reyes debuted her debut song, “Now Forever,” featuring American rapper Khleo Thomas in 2013, making her the first artist ever to be signed to the label that Royce founded in collaboration with Warner Music Latina in order to “help another new talent in their growth”.
